PUPPY EDUCATION
Management & Socialization Skills Class

Start your puppy off on the right paw with classes that teach important social skills, encourage good behaviors and build confidence, helping you establish a strong bond with your new arrival, while having fun.

During each session, time will be set aside for puppy socialization, a vital component of puppy development. Learning proper social skills are critical to a puppy's development. Teaching your puppy early on how to accept being handled by a friendly stranger will help avoid problems in a public setting.

In this class, you will learn how to teach your puppy foundation manners such as:
Coming when called
Managing the leash
Going to their "place"
Targeting your hand
Pay attention “asking behaviors”
Default sit
Learning how to properly meet and play nicely with other dogs (and people)!
How do I potty train my puppy?
How do I get my puppy to stop chewing on my things (people)?
How do I teach my puppy not to jump on people?
We will also address important questions such as:
Puppy class could very well be the most important class your dog will ever attend. By training now, you can avoid many problems later!

This is a six week course
; The puppy course is taught progressively once weekly for 6 weeks.
Each behavior learned builds upon the next. The first class in the session is a discussion about puppy development and education.Typically, the classes run for 1 to 1.5 hours each session.
The cost of the course is $200.

Puppies will need to be between 8-20 weeks of age (at the start class) and have at least one core vaccine that includes a Distemper/Parvo combo, a Kennel Cough (Bordetella), and have been wormed at least once. Rabies should also be given if old enough (after 16 weeks of age). We recommend that you discuss the risks of vaccinations with your veterinarian.
We are here to help!
Here at the learning center, we try to schedule a puppy course at least once monthly, however it is difficult to create a good social environment for you and your puppy with less than three puppies enrolled in a class.
So, our start dates of each puppy class really depends on finding enough puppies to fill the class, and  at times this can be a bit problematic and frustrating to us, as well as our puppy owners. What can you do to ensure we can hold your puppy class?
